Wetland Program PlanThe purpose of Oklahoma's Wetland Program Plan (WPP) is to guide and focus wetland related activities within the state to ensure that programmatic goals are met. The WPP was updated in 2020 through a collaborative process involving the Oklahoma Wetlands Technical Workgroup. Oklahoma's main goal for the the Wetlands Program is: To conserve, enhance and restore the quantity, quality and biological diversity of all wetlands in the state. The WPP is organized into five sections for each of the four USEPA core elements and the additional element of education and outreach. USEPA's four core elements include: (1) Monitoring and Assessment (2) Regulation (3) Voluntary Restoration and Protection (4) Water Quality Standards For each of the five sections, the Oklahoma Wetland Technical Working Group has identified an overall objective and specific actions and activities designed to advance those objectives and the Wetlands Program's overarching goal.
