The Board conducts hearings with offenders via remote videoconferencing with the assistance of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections host sites. There is a host site at each Department of Corrections Facility throughout the State of Oklahoma. This reduces the cost of travel and ensures public safety with less transporting of offenders. The videoconferencing sites give victims the opportunity to participate in the parole or pardon process. The victim appears before the Board at the home site and the offenders appear at a later time at the videoconferencing site. The offenders communicate with the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board and interact with them in real-time, just as if they were appearing before the Board in Oklahoma City.
