1. I am in a hurry. Can I get my scores back sooner if I pay an additional fee?
There is no mechanism for getting scores prior to the mailing date. All score reports undergo a number of quality control checks, and individual results may not be pulled prior to that time.

2. How many times can I retake a test?
There is no limit on the number of times you may take a test.

3. May I test on a day other than those on the schedule?
No, because the majority of tests have performance components which require non-machine grading, tests are only available on the scheduled dates.

4. How long will it take for me to get my results?
Results are mailed out approximately four weeks after the test date. The mailing date for score reports is printed on the back of the registration bulletin.

5. I have a religious conviction which prohibits my testing on Saturday. How do I arrange a Sunday test date?
You will need to complete the Alternative Testing Arrangements Request form, and provide appropriate documentation.

6. What do I do if I need to change a test or a test site?
If you have already registered, you need to use the Test Change Form in the registration bulletin or online at www.ceoe.nesinc.com.

10. How do I get a study guide?
Study guides are also available online at www.ceoe.nesinc.com. They may also be ordered at the same time you register for a test or by using the Study Guide Order Form in the registration bulletin. All teacher preparation institutions also have copies available.

11. May I use a credit card to pay testing fees?
Credit cards are accepted during emergency telephone registration and online registration.

12. May I write a check to cover testing fees?
Only cashiers' checks, money orders or credit cards (Visa and Mastercard) are accepted for test fee payment.

13. I am only taking one test. Will I test in the morning or the afternoon?
Test sessions are determined by the type of test you are taking. The OGET is only given in the morning. The OPTE is only given in the afternoon, OSATs are given in both the morning and the afternoon, with the following exceptions: a) Principal Common Core - Morning only; b) Principal Specialty Tests - Afternoon only; c) Superintendent - requires both morning and afternoon sessions for completion; d) OSATs with taped components may be slotted for a particular session in order to streamline the examination process.

14. How long do I have to take a test?
A test session is four hours long.

You may take a maximum of two tests per day.
