The Oklahoma Motor Vehicle Commission (OMVC) was established by the Legislature in 1953 for the purpose of licensing and regulating the new motor vehicle industry to benefit the people of Oklahoma.THE FUNCTIONS OF THE COMMISSION INCLUDES:

Licensing of:
- New Motor Vehicle Dealers and their Salespersons -
This includes automobiles, trucks, motor homes, RV towables, motorcycles, scooters, ATV, UTV, low-speed, and specialty vehicles - Manufacturers, Distributors, Factory Branches, Distributor Branches and their Representatives

Regulation of licensees by requiring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations relating to, advertising, sales practices, and distribution

Promote a positive experience for the both the consumer and the dealer by providing information helpful in the sales transaction

Investigation and assistance to consumers regarding complaints against any licensee

Provide hearings before the Commission according to OMVC statutes and rules
