All businesses, corporations, partnerships and professionals are required by law to file a 901 form as of January 1 each year. All returns are due by March 15.
Title 68 section 2832, Oklahoma Statues, requires that all inventory, furniture, fixtures and equipment must be reported each year to the County Assessor's office. If you receive a form 901 by mail it is because our office has determined that you may have assets to report. If you feel the form is not applicable please return it with an explanation or call our office. Failure to receive a 901 form does not relieve you of your obligation to file.
By Oklahoma statute, the statement of assets form 901 must be filed by March 15 each year. We are sorry there is no provision in the statutes for an extension.
At the beginning of each year a form 901 and a copy of the previous year's asset list is mailed to taxpayers we currently have on record. Please update the form and return it by March 15 so our records remain current and accurate. Again, failure to receive this information does not relieve you of your obligation to file. Please call our office so we can check your mailing address and get your papers mailed to you. You can also download the 901 form from the Oklahoma Tax Commission web site.
