Fair Board Elections

NOTICE OF FILING PERIOD FOR ELECTION OF FAIRBOARD MEMBERS

    In compliance with the Oklahoma Statutes, Title 2, § 15-68, which makes provision for a Board of Directors for the Free Fair Association, the Wagoner County Board of Commissioners hereby give notice that there be a filing period for three (3) positions on the Wagoner County Free Fair Board.

    The following conditions are set forth concerning the filing period:

    The filing period will consist of five consecutive working days beginning Monday, January 25, 2021 at 8:00 AM and ending Friday, January 29, 2021 at 4:30 PM.

    The elections will be conducted during a meeting to be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 between the hours of 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM at each of the District Maintenance Facilities. 

Only registered voters of the county are eligible to file as candidates;

Any person so filing must reside in the commissioner’s district they seek to represent;

Prospective candidates must file at the County Clerk’s office during the times specified;

One (1) member  will be elected to fill expired term in District One; serving a three (3) year term. One (1) member  will be elected to fill expired terms in District Two; serving a three (3) year term.  One (1) member  will be elected to fill expired term in District Three; serving a three (3) year term.

If you are interested in running for any of these positions, please complete the Declaration of Candidacy and return to the County Clerk's Office no later than 4:30pm Friday, january 29, 2021.
