Four Arrested in Holdenville Murder Case

In the early morning hours of May 11, 2013, Eric Stephens (d.o.b. 8/2/1979) was murdered. The Holdenville Police Department contacted OSBI a few days later when Stephens’ mother reported him missing and information began surfacing that Stephens had been killed. OSBI agents, District 22 and 23 Narcotics Task Force members, deputies, and police officers began following dozens of leads. May 16, a body was found in Seminole County. The next day, an OSBI latent print examiner matched the unidentified male’s fingerprints with the known prints of Eric Stephens. The medical examiner’s office determined Stephens was a homicide victim.

Investigators have arrested four people on complaints of murder in the first degree. An affidavit has been filed with the Hughes County Court Clerk. May 16, an OSBI agent arrested Eugenia Wakolee (d.o.b. 5/5/1986) in Konawa. May 17, OSBI agents, U.S. Marshals, and District 22 and 23 Narcotics Task Force members arrested Kyle Morris (d.o.b. 9/6/1990) and Tara Humphries (d.o.b. 7/24/1981) in Konawa. May 18, District 22 and 23 Narcotics Task Force members arrested Robert West (d.o.b. 1/15/1983) in Tecumseh. Humphries, Morris, and Wakolee were booked in to the Seminole County Jail. West was booked into the Pottawatomie County Public Safety Center.
