Former Konawa Police Chief Arrested for Distribution of Child Pornography
With the help of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol’s Tactical Team, OSBI agents served a search warrant on the home of the former police chief of Konawa in Seminole County. Agents served the warrant at approximately 5 o’clock this morning at 13979 N.S. 3560 Road at the home of Bradley Evan Morgan (d.o.b. 10-16-64).
Last month, the Missouri Highway Patrol contacted OSBI’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force after Morgan shared child pornography with one of Missouri’s Internet crimes investigators during a proactive, peer-to-peer investigation. An OSBI ICAC agent then conducted his own peer-to-peer investigation on Morgan, who, again, shared child pornography.
Since Morgan was a former police chief and remains in law enforcement, OSBI requested OHP’s tact team make initial entry and make the residence safe for investigators.
Morgan resigned from his position as Konawa’s police chief in June 2010. Morgan was booked in to the Seminole County Jail for possession and distribution of child pornography and violation of the Oklahoma computer crimes act. Agents seized several pieces of computer equipment at his home. Agents will examine the equipment for more illegal images.
