Officials Search for Missing Girl
At the request of the Comanche County Sheriff’s Office, OSBI is helping search for a seven- year-old girl discovered missing late Sunday night. The girl’s mother Tonya Hobbs, 37, was found dead inside her RV parked at 203 Minnesota in Geronimo. Hobbs and her daughter, Aja (pronounced Asia) Daniell Johnson, were visiting Hobbs’ estranged husband at his sister’s home. Lester William Hobbs, the estranged husband, and Aja are missing in Hobbs’ car. The car is described as a white, 1992, Toyota Paseo with an Oklahoma license tag reading 577-BPW. The 2-door car has no hubcaps and plastic covers the rear passenger window.
The victims were last seen Saturday evening. The medical examiner’s office is performing an autopsy on Tonya Hobbs’ body. Investigators do believe she was murdered. Lester Hobbs is considered a person of interest in her death.
An amber alert for the missing girl has been issued. If anyone spots the vehicle, the missing girl, or Hobbs, call 9-1-1 immediately. Mr. and Mrs. Hobbs lived in Davenport before they separated.
Note: Hobbs no longer has a goatee; however, he does have a mustache. Hobbs is approximately 5’9” tall and weighs about 185 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair. Hobbs is not Aja’s biological father.
If you have any information concerning the disappearance of Hobbs and Johnson, call 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678). This is a 24-hour hotline number set up by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
