Signing Up: Workshop enrollment is usually limited to state employees. If you are a state employee, check with your agency's human resources or training office first to find out how to register for a workshop. You cannot enroll for HRDS workshops directly through this website. Check out the current training schedule to find out what workshops are being offered this semester.
Canceling: Participants who need to cancel should call either their nominating official or HRDS at (405) 521-2166 before the workshop starts. It is important to do this as early as possible because there are waiting lists for most courses.
Location: Most HRDS classes are taught at the Tom Steed Development Center at Rose State College in Midwest City, the Moore-Norman Technology Center in Norman and at Oklahoma State University in Tulsa. Check your confirmation notice for the location of your class.
Times: All courses start at 8:30 a.m. and end by 4:30 p.m. (Tulsa courses end at 4:30.)

Continuing Education Units: Participants in HRDS courses are awarded Continuing Education Units (CEUs). The CEU is a method of measuring training hours. The Office of Personnel Management is an organizational member of the International Association of Continuing Education and Training. HRDS courses also satisfy mandatory supervisory training requirements for state employees.

The Tom Steed Development Center is at Rose State College in Midwest City, on the northwest corner of the intersection of I-40 (east) and Hudiburg Drive. Assigned classrooms are posted in the lobby. If lost, call (405) 733-7392. (From September 8, 2008, until October 15, 2008, the HRDS workshops will be held instead at the Professional Training & Education Center, located just north of the Tom Steed Development Center, at 1720 South Hudiburg Drive. The Tom Steed Development Center is presently being renovated. Renovations should be completed by mid-October.)
Oklahoma State University in Tulsa is located at 700 North Greenwood. Exit north off I-244 (Martin Luther King Expressway) on to Detroit/Cincinnati Avenue; take Detroit Avenue north to John Hope Franklin Boulevard, then turn right. If lost, call (918) 594-8000. Workshops will be held in the North Hall Conference Center, Room 260 (on the east side, upstairs). Parking is on the west side of the campus on John Hope Franklin Boulevard. Additional visitor parking is available in the lot on the east side of the Main Hall.
The Moore-Norman Technology Center is located at 4701 12th Avenue N.W., Room A200, Norman. Phone (405) 364-5763. Exit south off Interstate 35 to Highway77; exit left and proceed over overpass to Franklin Road; exit left on Franklin Road to the Center at Gate 2. From the south, take Interstate 35 north to Tecumseh and go east to 12th Avenue N.W. Turn left on 12th Avenue N.W., then go north to Franklin Road. Turn right on Franklin to Gate 2. Park on the north side of the building. The classroom is on the second floor in Room A200.
Shepherd Mall: The Office of Disability Concerns teaches the "Disability Awareness" workshop at Shepherd Mall's Community Activity Center. Shepherd Mall is located at N.W. 23rd & Villa Avenue in Oklahoma City (between Pennsylvania & May Avenues). The Community Activity Center is located at the southeast corner of the mall. Human Resource Development Services Division
Who We Are
Members of the Human Resource Development Services (HRDS) Team assess the supervisory and managerial training and development needs of state employees and develop and administer training courses and developmental activities to meet those needs. Team members also coordinate efforts among state agencies to share training and educational resources.
Products and Services We Provide
Members of the HRDS Team offer workshops during each Fall and Spring, and assist state agencies in arranging for off-season training and development activities. Team members also administer the Certified Public Manager Program, Productivity Enhancement Program (PEP) and Quality Oklahoma.
