Resources for state agencies on employee selection
Testing information for applicants (and potential applicants) for state jobs
- HCM administers Merit System tests Tuesdays and Thursdays (excluding state holidays), from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Please allow a minimum of two hours to take each test.
- Written Merit System tests are available at several other locations around the state. Each testing site maintains a different schedule. Most require appointments, but some do not. Please call or e-mail the test site for more information. Click here for the locations and contact information: Testing Centers. If you need a performance test (typing or data entry), be sure to ask if that location provides these tests. If they do not, they should be able to recommend a nearby office that provides these, or call (405) 521-2177.
Employee Performance Evaluation
Personnel Assessment administers the Performance Management Process Handbook (PMP) for Oklahoma state government. PMP is the employee performance evaluation tool that statute requires most state agencies to use in the annual evaluations of each employee's work performance.
