Thank you for visiting the Merit Protection Commission's website. On May 11, 2022, Governor Stitt approved and signed H.B. 3420 containing an "Emergency Clause" that became effective immediately upon his signature. All functions, powers, duties, and obligations previously assigned to the Commission are now transferred to the Office of Management and Enterprise Services.
As such, our agency does not have jurisdictional authority to process newly filed appeals. The Commission's goal is to complete active appeals filed prior to May 11, 2022, in accordance with the Oklahoma Personnel Act and Merit System of Personnel Management.
