Public Education and Information
The Oklahoma Highway Safety Office and Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office partner to provide traffic safety education and outreach statewide. This program includes the SIDNE impaired driving demonstration equipment as well as distracted driving simulator (available fall 2016) and occupant protection education.
Distracted Driving Simulator
Distracted Driving Simulator (DDS) is a product that includes actual cell phone and realistically replicates the distraction caused by attempting to read and send text messages while driving. This experience enables students to have a better grasp on how technology can limit your ability to perform simple driving tasks.
DDS also has the capability to replicate impaired driving and other risky driving situations.
