Director of Operations
Darren Saliba was named Director of Operations in September 2016. In his role, Saliba oversees all eight ODOT field divisions as well as the Construction, Maintenance, Materials and Research and Office Engineer Divisions.
Saliba started his career with ODOT in 1983 as an engineer-in-training at the Edmond Residency. The next year, he moved to the Tulsa Residency, where he held several positions before being promoted to Engineering Manager of the Muskogee Residency in 1988.
In 1994, he moved up to Maintenance Engineer for the Division and became Assistant Division Engineer for Construction in 1996. Saliba then became Division Engineer for ODOT’s Muskogee-based Division One, which includes eight eastern Oklahoma counties in 1997. He served that job title till his most recent promotion to Director of Operations.
Saliba was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Kansas. He earned a master’s degree in civil engineering from Oklahoma State University in 1990 and became a registered professional engineer the same year.
Darren lives in Broken Arrow and has three daughters.
