Parents360 is a community education program that engages parents through a presentation called Parents: You Matter. The presentation provides parents and other caring adults with valuable insights as to why kids use, how parents can start the dialogue about the dangers of substance abuse with their kids and what steps to take if they suspect or know their child is using. It underscores the need for parents to educate themselves about the dangers of drugs and alcohol, communicate with their kids about these issues, monitor their child’s behavior, and get help when needed. A collection of short, drug-specific modules can be integrated into the Parents: You Matter presentation, allowing the customization of this program for individual communities. They include presentations on methamphetamine, Ecstasy, heroin, inhalants, marijuana, prescription/over-the-counter drugs (Rx/OTC), synthetic drugs (K2/”Bath Salts”) and underage drinking.

Youth360 (wreckED) educates youth about substance abuse through an engaging presentation designed to get them to think more introspectively about their behavior toward drugs and alcohol. Youth360 begins with a video that depicts aspects of today’s drug and alcohol scene, as well as real-life stories of addiction from the A&E Network program series Intervention. Following the video, the facilitator leads a group discussion using observations of depictions in the video as conversation starters. A special wreckED interactive card game, designed to stimulate conversations, focuses on the issues presented in the video, simulating real life choices, behaviors, and consequences. The Partnership’s teen website, checkyourself.com supports wreckED
