Mary Walker

Mary P. Walker,  Immediate Past Chair, was appointed in 2002 by Governor Frank Keating and subsequently re-appointed by Governor Brad Henry in 2007.  Walker has served on the nominating committee, as vice-chair from 2007-2009, and as co-chair of the 2009 Women’s Hall of Fame.

Walker is an active member of the First Baptist Church North Tulsa, where she chairs the scholarship committee, is a member of the Christian Education Ministry, is a youth sponsor, teaches in the youth department of the Sunday Church School, sings in the Angelic Choir, and is the hospitality chair of the Good News Partners Women’s Mission Circle.

She is a life member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., and serves as first vice president of Alph Xi Sigma Chapter, a life member of Friends of the Rudisell North Regional Library, and is an active member of Booker T. Washington and Langston University Alumni Associations.

Mary recently retired after 38 years from Tulsa Community College, where she spent the last 20 years as Associate Dean of the Communications Services Division at the Metro Campus.
