OKLAHOMA BOARD OF CHILD ABUSE EXAMINATION
The Office of Planning and Coordination provides direct staff support to the Oklahoma Board of Child Abuse Examination per Oklahoma State Statues. The purpose of the Oklahoma Board of Child Abuse Examination is to establish a statewide system to provide expert medical evaluation for children suspected to be victims of child abuse or neglect. The Board consist of ten statutorily required members that include: Director of the State Bureau of Investigations; Commissioner of the State Department of Health; Director of the Department of Human Services; Director of the Oklahoma State District Attorneys Association; President of a Statewide Association of Osteopathic Physicians; President of a Statewide Association of Allopathic Physicians; Chief Executive Officer of the Oklahoma Health Care Authority; Executive Director of the Oklahoma Board of Nursing; Representative of the Statewide Association of Child Advocacy Centers; and Chief Child Abuse Examiner.
