Freestanding Multidisciplinary Child Abuse Team Fiscal Agency

SB534 passed the Oklahoma legislature and became effective November 1, 2015, respectively.  SB534 directs the Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth to establish the Child Abuse Multidisciplinary Team Account (CAMTA).  The legislation calls for OCCY to contract with eligible freestanding multidisciplinary child abuse teams across the state.  The funding allocated from the CAMTA to FSMDTs is for direct program cost that includes but is not limited to: FSMDT coordinator, forensic interviewing equipment, professional staff development, and travel.  Click here to view a copy of SB534.

SB534 also called for the promulgation of rules necessary to implement the provisions of the bill. OCCY submitted the Notice of Rule Making Intent (NRI) to the Oklahoma Secretary of State. Further, P&C has drafted rules that establish minimal standards for a freestanding multidisciplinary child abuse team fiscal agency.  Public comments on the draft rules are currently being accepted.
