OCAST, the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and
Technology, is the state’s only agency whose sole focus is technology –
developing it, transferring it, and commercializing it to improve Oklahoma’s

- OCAST Seed Capital Program has made
millions of dollars available to seed capital-ready technology-based businesses
to help them grow and prosper in Oklahoma.
- Oklahoma Applied Research Support (OARS) funds
one- to three-year projects based upon technical merit, potential for market
success and commitment of resources.
- Oklahoma Health Research (OHR) competitively awards seed funds for
one- to three-year research projects related to human health.
- Oklahoma Nanotechnology Applications Project
(ONAP) assists Oklahoma companies with the process of applying nanotechnology
through research, development and manufacturing to improve or create new
products or processes.
- Oklahoma Plant Sciences Research (OPSR)
supports basic and applied research in the field of plant sciences by
allocating resources according to merit, promoting collaborations and
leveraging federal and private resources.
- R&D Intern Partnerships (RDIP)
program supports internships between local industries and two and four year
- Small Business Research Assistance (SBRA)
defray a portion of a qualifying firm’s federal SBIR or STTR Phase I proposal
preparation costs and providing bridge funding between Phase I and Phase II
federal SBIR grants.
- Inventors Assistance Service (IAS)
assists the independent inventor in navigating the process from idea to

- OCAST Technology Business Finance Program
(TBFP) promotes promising advanced technology ideas and to enable entrepreneurs
to commercialize in Oklahoma by providing limited, pre-seed financing.
