Definition: Policy and Planning Legislative Liaison - Under general supervision, plans and coordinates a component of the agency or program(s) established to accomplish a basic goal or mission of the agency. May supervise one or more employees and/or contractors. Represents OCAST at conferences, meetings and hearings related to OCAST's administrative operations.
Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 commensurate with education and experience
Full-time: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Classification: Merit System Unclassified (U) with full State Benefits Package

Examples of Work Performed:
Candidates should possess strong analytical capabilities and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, including making effective public presentations and dealing with a variety of individuals both in person, in conference settings and over the telephone; ability to interpret and explain applicable laws, regulations and policies; skill in preparing clear, concise and informative reports, correspondence and other written materials; strong customer service focus and the ability to build strong relationships; excellent attention to detail and highly competent follow-through of work requirements. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite and have strong inter-personal skills.
Education and Experience:
Required: Bachelor's degree; 2 - 3 years government relations experience
Preferred: Background in economic development and/or public policy/law, communications, marketing, information research and data analysis
There will be some in-state travel. Required events may be held on evening and weekends.
This position is registered with the Oklahoma Ethics Commission as a lobbyist Liaison for a state agency.
