OCAST funds basic research, applied research and internships through the Oklahoma Health Research, Oklahoma Applied Research Support, Plant Science and Faculty and Student Intern Partnerships programs. Funding is awarded through on-line application. All proposals are reviewed and ranked by experienced researchers who reside outside the state of Oklahoma. Peer reviewers evaluate applications for scientific merit based on the quality of the proposed research, qualifications of the principal investigator and appropriateness of the institutional facilities and use of the described project budget.
