On May 8th, 2018 Governor Fallin signed HB2931 requiring electronic prescriptions. HB2931 states that, effective January 1, 2020, electronic prescribing shall be utilized for all controlled dangerous substances in Schedules II, III, IV, and V.

Exception: The electronic prescription requirement provided for in 63 O.S. 3-309 shall not apply to prescriptions for controlled dangerous substances issued by any practitioner listed in 63 O.S. 2-309(A)(5) and under the circumstances provided for in 63 O.S. 2-309(A)(6).
