Board Member Information
Suzanne Thompson Stanton., CCC-SLP
Dr. Suzanne Thompson Stanton is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, at the University of Tulsa. She specializes in treating adults with neurogenic communication disorders and children with fluency disorders. She has been a speech-language pathologist for twenty-five years. Her experience includes providing services to children and adults in a variety of settings including rehab, outpatient, and long-term acute care hospital settings, schools, and a university clinic setting. She received her doctorate in Higher/Educational leadership from Oklahoma State University and a masters degree in speech-language pathology from Oklahoma State University. She has completed previous research in dysphasia, aphasia, and diverse student recruitment. Dr. Stanton is the coordinator for the Mary K. Chapman Center for Communicative Disorders and the co-coordinator for the Aphasia community support group. She has also served as president and vice-president for the Oklahoma Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
New Board Members
Dr. April Waller has been an Audiologist since 2015. She earned her Au.D. from Wichita State University in 2015 and her BSW from Oral Roberts University in 1999. She is currently the Chielf Audiologist at Pawnee Indian Health Services and works for USPHS Commission Corps. Before joining USPHS she was in private practice in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she specialized in vestibular testing, adult amplification and assistive listening devices.
