Linda Jaco
Linda received her M.S. in School Psychology from Columbia University in 1977 and her B.S. in Secondary Education and Child Development from University of Houston in 1974. She worked as a school psychologist with the Houston Independent School District and as Supervisor of Psychological Services at The John E. Fogarty Center in Providence, RI before her appointment as Manager of Oklahoma ABLE Tech in October, 1995. In February, 2006 Linda was appointed Assistant Director for Sponsored Programs at the Seretean Wellness Center. Linda is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Rehabilitation Engineering Society of North America, the National Mental Health Association, and the National Association of Assistive Technology Act Programs (where she served as Chair). She is very involved throughout the State and Nation in programs and services for persons with disabilities, sitting on a number of boards and legislative task forces.
Andrea Braeutigam
Andrea is an Attorney-Mediator. B.A., University of Washington (1998), J.D. cum laude, Oklahoma City University School of Law (2002), LL.M. Dispute Resolution, University of Missouri-Columbia (2005). She is the Program Manager of the Institute for Dispute Resolution at Oklahoma State University. She has mediated a variety of civil, commercial, family and agricultural matters. She has experience in system design and mediation training. She has presented on and published two articles on Online Dispute Resolution that focus on the dynamics of computer-mediated communication in the mediation process.
She is a member of the American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution and is Secretary of the Oklahoma Bar Section of Dispute Resolution. Current projects include the OBA DR Study Group on Promoting Mediator Quality. She lives in Oklahoma City with her husband, Michael L. Velez, Attorney at Law, and their two beloved Golden Retrievers.
Lynn Malley
Lynn recently joined the Institute for Dispute Resolution after teaching ADR courses at SIU School of Law in Carbondale, IL and at the Faculties of Law and Political Science, University of Belgrade, Serbia. Initially trained as a mediator in 1991, she has been a Practitioner Member of the Family Section of the Association for Conflict Resolution since 1995. Lynn has mediated hundreds of family, business, community, and court cases, including cases for the Postal Service and Ebay. An attorney since 1984 and a mediator since 1991, Lynn completed an LL.M. in Dispute Resolution from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2003. She has a continuing interest in cross-cultural and diversity issues.
Terrie Altman
Terrie is the initial contact person for all of the Institute programs. She coordinates all the requests for services and assists the Program Manager and Coordinator with the development of dispute resolution projects.
