Make a Kit Have a Plan   Get Informed/Stay Informed

                 picture of an emergency supply kitYour emergency supply kit should have all that you and your family will need to be self-sufficient for at least 3 days (72 hours). Customize it for the needs of your family.

Don't forget special considerations if you have family members that have specials needs, such as formula or diapers for infants.

 By knowing what types of hazards your family could be facing, you can come up with a Family Communication Plan that includes how you will stay in touch and what actions you will take.

With some simple preparations, you can be ready for the unexpected.

Have at least 3 ways of receiving emergency alerts and updates.

                            

OKC Residents with visual and/or hearing special needs may receive alerts in American Sign Language and English voice and text through AHAS.
