Office of Partner Engagement

The Office of Partner Engagement (OPE), formerly, Oklahoma Turning Point is a statewide initiative of the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH). The new name was adopted March 2016.

The OPE collaborates across disciplines, community sectors; creates strategic partnerships and engages individuals, anchor entities (e.g., city planners, libraries, hospitals, schools, regional food banks, workforce investment boards), and other key stakeholders to address complex health issues, implement workable solutions, and improve overall health outcomes.

Our areas of expertise include: education, training, group facilitation, health improvement plans, supporting and conducting health impact assessments (HIAs) as part of a wider public health agenda, and leadership development. In addition, the OPE and OTPC teams are available to provide technical assistance and research support for developing grant applications, etc.

What We Do

The OPE Partnership Consultants (PCs) provide technical assistance and targeted support to coalitions, strategic partners (e.g., hospitals, libraries, schools), and a variety of other community groups. The OPE team builds and fosters relationships to engage in cross-functional, multi-sector collaboration with diverse groups, nongovernmental organizations, public and private entities, and other key community stakeholders to increase awareness, build community capacity, and improve health outcomes in Oklahoma communities, municipalities, and neighborhoods.
