Office of Child Abuse Prevention Announces 3rd Annual Poster Contest

All Oklahoma students in grades Pre-K through 12 are invited to enter a calendar poster contest depicting positive images and illustrating the theme "It's your turn to make a difference for a child."  The Oklahoma State Department of Health's (OSDH) Office of Child Abuse Prevention and the Child Abuse Prevention Action Committee are sponsoring the contest.  The Arts Council of Oklahoma City will select an impartial panel of judges to judge the poster contest.

Entries must be postmarked by December 31, 2009.  All entries submitted will receive a certificate of participation.  Prizes will be awarded to the 13 contest winners whose entries are chosen to be on the 3rd Annual Child Abuse Prevention Calendar.  Also, winning entries will be on public display at the State Capitol on Child Abuse Prevention Day, Tuesday, February 23, 2010.

For more information about the poster contest, contact Linda Wise or Chris Fiesel at the OSDH Office of Child Abuse Prevention at (405) 271-7611 or send e-mail to LindaKW@health.ok.gov or ChrisF@health.ok.gov.
