Arthritis Network Speaker to Discuss the Enhance Fitness Program

Shelly Webb, EnhanceFitness division manager for Project H.E.A.R.T., will be the guest speaker for the Oklahoma Arthritis Network (OAN) on Thursday, April 3, at the Oklahoma State Department of Health, 1000 N.E. 10th Street at 2 p.m. in Room 314. The meeting is free and open to the public.

Webb’s topic, “EnhanceFitness: Living Longer, Living Stronger,” will cover the importance of physical activity, benefits of EnhanceFitness classes, and the make up of an EnhanceFitness class. She will also go over the evidence-based nature of EnhanceFitness and provide examples of participant results.
Webb is an Enhance Fitness master trainer and ACE certified group fitness instructor. She received her undergraduate degree in community health and wellness from Oklahoma State University. Webb works with Project H.E.A.R.T. and two support instructors to hold 15 EnhanceFitness classes per week. She also provides training for new instructors of the EnhanceFitness program in Oklahoma and other states.

OAN attempts to maximize the quality of life for Oklahomans with arthritis and related health conditions by developing resources, promoting access to health care and offering public health education presentations. Currently, there are about 100 public and private health and non-health related organizations in the OAN.
