Free Flu Shots Offered at the State Capitol

Three state health groups have joined together today to offer free flu vaccinations at the state capitol for legislators and their staff as well as employees from state agencies in the capitol complex and the general public visiting the capitol.

The Oklahoma State Medical Association, Oklahoma Pharmaceutical Association and the Oklahoma State Department of Health are providing the flu shots from 9 am to 3 pm in Room 108 at the state capitol.

“The best way to prevent the flu is to get a flu shot,” said Ken King, executive director of the Oklahoma State Medical Association. “We hope this partnership effort will encourage staff and visitors to the capitol today to protect themselves and those close to them by getting a flu shot.”
