WHAT: 8th Annual Wacky Water Wahoo, an interactive water safety fair

WHEN: Tuesday, May 14, 9:45 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

WHO: More than 2,200 elementary schoolchildren from 18 Oklahoma City public schools will be present, learning various water safety skills and enjoying free swim time. More than 100 volunteers are donating their time

WHERE: White Water Bay, 3908 W. Reno

WHY: Drowning is the second-leading cause of unintentional injury death to children in Oklahoma. The vast majority of drownings occur during the summer months.

SPONSORED BY: Oklahoma SAFE KIDS Coalition, Oklahoma City Community College, American Red Cross, White Water Bay, Oklahoma State Department of Health, YMCA, U.S. Corps of Engineers, and the Oklahoma City Fire Department.
