March 27th Public Forum Set to Discuss Health Department Rules for Breast and Cervical Cancer

The Oklahoma State Department of Health will review rules and regulations for the Breast and Cervical Cancer Program Treatment Act (BCCPTA) during a public forum Wed., March 27. The forum will be held at the state health department’s Chronic Disease office from 1-4 p.m. at 501 S. Coltrane, Edmond. The public is invited to attend and provide input.

The forum will discuss the BCCPTA options chosen by the Oklahoma State Department of Health, the Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program, and the Oklahoma Health Care Authority, as well as state dollars needed, and a request for ideas on community implementation.

Breast and cervical cancer are health issues of statewide importance. The public’s input and direction are vital to making this process more effective for providers and patients.
