Schools Show their School Spirit with SWAT
Students Working Against Tobacco (SWAT) partners with Wild 97.9 Radio and Pepsi to defend a tobacco-free generation.

WHO: SWAT, Wild 97.9 and Pepsi team up to promote tobacco prevention through a “show your spirit contest.”
WHAT: SWAT is bringing their message of turning the tables on Big Tobacco to over 20 schools in four weeks. SWAT will hang out with teens and the Wild crew while recording public service announcements and dishing out the latest information on Big Tobacco’s lies.
WHERE: Sequoyah Middle School - October 11, 2001
Memorial High School - October 12, 2001
Purcell High School - October 22, 2001
Carl Albert High School - October 23, 2001
Mustang High School - October 24, 2001
(Events held during lunch hours at each school; check with school for specific time.)
WHY: The contest will last four weeks, from Oct 1 through Oct 26, and is open to any school in the listening area. Teens can logo onto www.wild979.com to register their school and start collecting spirit points. The school with the most points will receive a in school concert featuring a Wild artist.  One lucky student from that school will receive four roundtrip tickets to Las Vegas to see Brittany Spears live in concert
