OBDR_FH_pic.jpg

The Oklahoma Birth Defects Registry is an active, population-based, public health surveillance system. The mission of the Oklahoma Birth Defects Registry is to protect and promote the health of Oklahomans through statewide surveillance and investigation, thereby identifying opportunities to prevent, optimize early detection of birth defects, and reduce infant mortality.

Services:

  • Connect families to potential resources including early interventions services and parent-to-parent support groups.
  • Perform educational outreach activities to reduce the risk of having a baby with a birth defect.

Eligibility Guidelines:

  • Every child born with an eligible birth defect will have their medical record reviewed to determine if the child meets requirements to be entered into the Oklahoma Registry.
