OSDH State Epidemiologist

Kristy Bradley, DVM, MPHFigure in Shadow

Dr. Bradley was appointed State Epidemiologist August 1, 2007.  She is a native of Iowa.  She received her veterinary medical degree from Iowa State University in 1984, and MPH in Biostatistics and Epidemiology from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 1996, and is board certified in Veterinary Preventative Medicine

Dr. Bradley began her OSDH career as an epidemiologist in the Acute Disease Service in 1996 and was subsequently appointed State Public Health Veterinarian.  In 2000 she was appointed Assistant State Epidemiologist, and has served as the State Epidemiologist since August 2005.  As such she has provided leadership in several areas including bioterrorism response, West Nile virus surveillance and pandemic influenza planning.

As State Epidemiologist, Dr. Bradley provides leadership in the surveillance and control of disease and injury within the state of Oklahoma, and provides epidemiologic consultation to various programs within the OSDH and partners throughout the state of Oklahoma.
