Certified Healthy Oklahoma
A free statewide program in which recipients are recognized for promoting health and wellness where Oklahomans live, work, learn, and play. They set positive examples and shape brighter futures for Oklahoma. There are categories for businesses, schools, and congregations. The annual application period opens on August 1st and runs through November 1st. Applications must be received by 11:59 PM CST on November 1st. Applications MUST be submitted online. World Breastfeeding Week
A distinctive resource available to women in our region is our International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Based in our Noble County Health Department, Annette Schovanec RN, IBCLC, is a knowledgeable and experienced member of the maternal-child health team, who has specialized skills in breastfeeding management and care. She is able to provide a high level of support for mothers and their newborns, and find solutions for those experiencing difficulties with breastfeeding.
