Kiowa County Health Department
Welcome to the web site of the Kiowa County Health Department. We hope that you use the information on this site to promote your personal health, the health of your family and the health of our community.
Our VISION is: Creating a State of Health. Our MISSION is: To protect and promote health, to prevent disease and injury, and to cultivate conditions by which Oklahomans can be healthy. We accomplish our mission by monitoring the health of our community, identifying and responding to health threats, providing timely and accurate information to our citizens, enforcing laws that protect health and providing quality services to prevent and control disease.
In the summer of 2012, Kiowa County embarked on a process to assess the comprehensive health status of the county called the Kiowa County Health Project, with the intent of organizing our approach to improved health. To facilitate an organized, comprehensive approach to this endeavor, organizers are following the nationally recognized--Mobilizing Action toward Planning and Partnerships (MAPP) process.
