National Immunization Awareness Month

Back to School is here, and with that comes the time for school immunizations. The Kay County Health Department is here to meet many of those needs (click here for more information). An important, but sometimes overlooked, part of that need is preteen and teen vaccinations.  During these ages, there are important opportunities to protect young people. The National Public Health Information Coalition (NPHIC) has developed Toolkits for providers and agencies to use (this month and throughout the year) to help inform and educate their clients and communities. Specifically, we’d like to highlight the Preteen & Teens Toolkit - available by clicking here. In the Toolkit you will find key messages, vaccine information , sample news releases and articles, sample social media messages, web resources, posters and graphics, and more – all which you can mix and match, copy, or adapt to fit your organization or community.
