Services include free childhood immunizations, family planning, WIC, tetanus shots, flu shots, restaurant inspections, help with environmental complaints, animal bite reports, and preparation and response to any disaster that may threaten the health and well-being of residents.

Mosquito Control Community Meeting

Carter County Health Department will host a mosquito control community meeting on September 30th at 2:00 PM at the Carter County Health Department 405 S Washington Ardmore, OK

A small number of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, the primary carriers of the Zika Virus, have been detected in various locations in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

 

You will learn:

  • How to protect yourself against mosquito bites
  • How to prevent mosquitoes from breeding
  • How to prevent the spreading of mosquito born diseases
  • Updates on mosquito control efforts
