Fire Standards Compliant Cigarette Information
Note: In addition to being certified Fire Standards Compliant by the Oklahoma State Fire Marshal, all tobacco companies and brand families must also be certified and included in the Oklahoma List of Certified Tobacco Manufacturers Approved for Sale in 2009 (The Tobacco Directory) maintained by the Oklahoma Attorney General's Office.
National Fire Protection Associations' Hot Work Safety Certificate Program was created to help those in the construction industry develop awareness and understanding of dangers and safety procedures to promote safety on the work site where hot work occurs.

Pursuant to 310:681-6-2: All commercial licensees shall meet the standards of any applicable state and local
electrical, fire, plumbing, waste and building specification codes including but not limited to the codes
adopted by the Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission as set forth in OAC 748:20.
All licensees may be required to obtain a permit for any new construction or existing building, fire sprinkler,
fire alarm, etc. from the Oklahoma State Fire Marshal's Office. Please visit the "Plan Review Permits" page
