U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY GRANTS OKLAHOMA ANOTHER GRACE PERIOD
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security granted Oklahoma an extension to meet the requirement of REAL ID through October 10, 2018.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (USDHS) has completed its review of Oklahoma’s REAL ID extension request and has granted Oklahoma another extension until October 10,2018. What this means for Oklahoma license and ID card holders is that the federal government will continue to recognize Oklahoma’s driver license and ID cards until next October. Oklahoman’s will still be able to gain access to federal buildings and military installations using these documents.
USDHS has updated their website to reflect this new information.
