Current Mental Health Training Options

Recently, CLEET has received several phone calls from officers asking how peace officers can get their two hours of mental health credit now that the web-based training is no longer available on CLEET’s website.We have compiled some options for you below.


Please note these classes have been accredited by the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training for mandatory continuing education credit. Regarding any law enforcement concepts, practices, methods, techniques, products, or devices as might be taught, promoted, or otherwise espoused in outside schools or seminars, there is no intent, expressed or implied, that ‘accreditation’ indicates or in any way conveys ‘CLEET approval’ of such concepts, practices, methods, techniques, products, or devices, unless such approval is explicitly stated by CLEET.


ONLINE OPTIONS (this is not a complete list of available online credit)


NCBRT offers AWR-195-W Disaster Mental Health Considerations During a Weapons of Mass Destruction/Terrorist Incident 
which is accredited for 1.25 hours of mental health continuing education credit.Officers will need to sign up at 


LETN site is down - no word on when/if it will come back on-line.

ORCPI offers The Muslim World & Radical Islam, accredited for 8 hours of CLEET credit including 1 hour of Mental Health. ORCPI’s website is www.orcpi.com

    Please make sure that the course(s) state(s) that it has been accredited for mental health hours.There are several options available.
  2. “Online Enrollment” courses available through the CLEET online enrollment system include the following mental health options:


  • Stress Behind the Badge

(2-4 hours of credit including 2 hours of mental health)

  • Dealing with LE Depression & Suicide

(2-4 hours of credit including 2 hours mental health)

  • Evidence Based Domestic Violence

(8 hours of credit including 2 hours mental health)

  • Human Trafficking

(8 hours of credit including 2 hours mental health)

  • 2013 Domestic Violence Boot Camp

(4 hours of credit including 2 hours mental health)

  • Hearing Voices/Unseen Wounds of War

(4 hours of credit including 2 hours mental health)

  • The Neurobiology of Addiction

(4 hours of credit including 4 hours mental health)


Certified Oklahoma Officers can log in to the CLEET “online enrollment” system at the following link:

If you have not logged into the CLEET system in the past, please begin at this link 
http://enrollment.cleet.state.ok.us/CleetCE/CEConfirmID.aspx .
You will need your CLEET Master Number, the last four digits of your social security number, and your date of birth to set up your account to log in.

  1. Department administrators/training coordinators that have an officer that has been through CLEET’s basic instructor development class can request an accredited mental health lesson plan/PowerPoint presentation from Chris Sutterfield which can be presented to department staff.The rosters will be electronically submitted to CLEET for posting of mental health credit.Please contact Chris Sutterfield at chris.sutterfield@cleet.state.ok.us .Be sure to include the full name of your instructor and their CLEET number.
  2. Officers can receive mental health credit by attending the 3rd Annual Oklahoma Law Enforcement Training Initiative “Preparing Oklahoma’s First Responders through Training” hosted by CLEET, The Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security and the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium.CLEET is providing you with the opportunity to complete your annual continuing education requirement during five days of training held at the Moore Norman Technology Center in Norman from September 9, 2013 to September 13, 2013.Registration will open on the CLEET website June 13, 2013.
