State Board of Behavioral Health Licensure

The mission of the State Board of Behavioral Health Licensure is to protect the public by promoting and enforcing laws and regulations which govern the practice of Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Marital and Family Therapists, and Licensed Behavioral Practitioners.

Important Update:

Due to the ongoing consequences of the national COVID-19 pandemic, on February 11, 2022, the Board approved an additional stay of enforcement for all face-to-face CEU requirements, including Ethics and Supervision. All technology assisted CEU's accrued between January 01, 2022 and December 31, 2022 may count towards the face-to-face renewal requirements, including ethics and supervision, for all current licensure periods. On October 07, 2022 the Board approved an additional stay of enforcement for all face-to-face CEU requirements, including Ethics and Supervision. All technology assisted CEU's accrued between January 01, 2023 and December 31, 2023 may count towards the face-to-face renewal requirements, including ethics and supervision, for all current licensure periods.
