Ralph Harrison 2



Ralph Harrison, District 1

Alfalfa, Beaver, Blaine, Cimarron, Custer, Dewey, Ellis, Garfield Grant, Harper, Kingfisher, Major, Roger Mills, Texas, Woods, and Woodward Counties

Ralph is an owner of Solomon Abstract Company in Kingfisher. He has been in the abstracting business for 12 years, and is an active member of the Oklahoma Land Title Association. Ralph is also a senior attorney in the firm of Harrison & Mecklenburg, Inc., and has practiced law in Kingfisher for over 35 years. His practice focuses on real estate and land title issues. Ralph is a past president of the Kingfisher County Development Foundation, Kingfisher County Bar Association, and Kingfisher Rotary Club. Ralph and his wife, Denise, attend the First United Methodist Church in Kingfisher. They have two children, Jared, who practices law with Ralph and who is also a licensed abstractor, and Kristin Montarella, who is a Professor of Pharmacy with Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Ralph also has four grandchildren, Dakota, Myles, Finley, and Makenna.


John Bailey


John Bailey, District 2

Jefferson, Kiowa, Love, McClain, Murray, Stephens, Tillman  and Washita Counties

John Bailey has been a lifelong resident of Altus, Oklahoma where he is the founder and owner of Bailey's Abstract and Title Company, LLC.  His plant is completely computerized from inception.  John received his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from Oklahoma State University in 1985.  In addition to running his Abstract and Title Company, John is also a commodity broker and accountant.  Currently, John serves as a Chairman of the Area City Planning and Zoning Commission, is a member of the Oklahoma State Alumni Leadership Council, serves as the local President of the Jackson/Harmon OSU Alumni Association and is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Altus.  He has a 24-year old son, Jeremy, who is working in the film industry and a 21-year old daughter, Shelby, who is a senior at Oklahoma State University.


Chaney Haynes

Canadian, Cleveland, Logan and Oklahoma Counties

Chaney is currently President of Old Republic Title Company of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City and has been in the abstract and title business in Oklahoma since 1978.  He has served on the board of the Oklahoma Land Title Association and is a Past President of that Association.  Chaney was selected as the Bill Gill Title Person of the year in 2012.  He is also a member of the American Land Title Association.  Chaney lives in El Reno with his wife La Donna.




Mark Luttrull

Adair, Cherokee,Craig, Delaware, Kay, Mayes, Muskogee, Noble, Nowata, Okmulgee, Osage, Ottawa, Pawnee, Payne Sequoyah, Washingon

Mark is President of Pioneer Abstract & Title Co. of Muskogee, Inc.  and is a fourth-generation abstractor, in his family.  He has been in the abstracting business most of his life.  He has served on the board of the Oklahoma Land Title Association and is a member of the American Land Title Association.  Mark attended Oklahoma State University and is a Rotary member and active in various booster clubs for Hilldale and Muskogee Public Schools.  He is married to Julie and has one child, Nick.



Charlie Nichols

Charles Nichols is the owner of The Abstract and Guaranty Company in Chandler, OK, a third generation title business with ties dating back to 1900.   He was born and raised in Chandler and began working at the family owned business at the early age of 16.  He is a past president of the Oklahoma Land Title Association and has served on the education committee for over 20 years, as well as many other committees.  Charles has also been active in the American Land Title Association,  serving on the membership committee and TiPac Board of Directors.   Charles has been married to his wife Beth for 25 years, has two children and has been active in his community by serving as President of the Lions Club, as well as being involved with the Chamber of Commerce and local community theater.


Ken McDowell

Marshall, McCurtain, Okfuskee, Pittsburg, Pontotoc, Pottawatomie, Pushmataha and Seminole

Ken is Vice President and Pottawatomie County Manager for First American Title & Trust Company.  He has been active in the land title industry since 1975, and is a member of the Oklahoma Land Title Association.  He has served the O.L.T.A. as President and was selected as the “Bill Gill Title Person of the Year” for 2005.  Ken is very active in numerous community activities and continues to serve as Kiwanis Secretary/Treasurer for the last 22 years.  Ken and his wife of 44 years, Dana, make their home in Shawnee and  have two grown daughters, Shana and Michelle  and 3 grandsons.




 Bob Getchell

Robert J Getchell has practiced real estate law for almost three decades in Oklahoma and Arkansas. His broad-ranging experience includes residential, commercial and investment-related real estate transactions. Having spent almost 20 years as staff attorney and general counsel for abstract and title companies, Bob has extensive experience in every area of transactional real estate including title examination, title insurance underwriting, sales and refinance transactions, contracts, conveyance instruments, encroachment agreements and easements. Bob is also an experienced litigator having represented various individual, investment and corporate clients, including some of the country’s largest banks, in adversarial matters covering a wide range of real estate matters.

Bob received his J.D. from Oral Roberts University’s O.W. Coburn School of Law in 1985 and B.A. in History from Oral Roberts University in 1982.  His professional affiliations include the Oklahoma Bar Association Real Property and Bankruptcy Sections, the Arkansas Bar Association and the Tulsa Title and Probate Lawyers Association



Corky Heard

Earl D. “Corky” Heard is the Owner of Heard-Knight Auction & Real Estate in Clinton, Oklahoma.  Corky is the principal broker and auctioneer for the firm. He has been in the Real Estate business for over 25 years and an Auctioneer for approximately 10 years, conducting real estate and personal property auctions. He graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1987 and then established his home in Clinton. Corky is Past President of the Clinton Chamber of Commerce, Clinton Kiwanis Club and the United Fund. Corky is a long time member and current chairman of the Clinton planning and zoning commission. He is a member of the First Christian Church, where he has served as a Sunday School teacher, Youth Sponsor and elder. Corky has been married for 23 years to his wife Missy. They have two daughters; Jessica who is a sophomore at SWOSU and a member of the Lady Bulldogs Golf Team, and Harley who is a freshman at Clinton High School.

J Charles Thomas has been employed with the BancFirst in Yukon, Oklahoma since May of 2013 as Vice President.  He has been employed in the banking industry for over 15 years.  He received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Agriculture Economics from Oklahoma State University.  J has been married to his wife Laci for 13 years.  They have one daughter, Kinsleigh, who is a 4th grader in the Yukon Public School District.

Katherine Smith


Previous to coming to the Abstractors Board, Katherine managed the Oklahoma Land Title Association from 2008 to 2015. Previous to that, she was involved in commercial real estate, overseeing operations in Oklahoma and Arkansas for a division of Trammell Crow Company. Except for a minor detour of 4 years in Colorado, she is a life-long resident of Oklahoma and currently resides in Guthrie.
