State of Oklahoma Invites Vendors to Register Online at http://www.vendors.ok.gov
OKLAHOMA CITY – June 15, 2009 – Vendors interested in conducting business with the state of Oklahoma can now register online through the Department of Central Services’ (DCS) Vendor Registration System at http://www.vendors.ok.gov. By registering online, vendors receive email notifications of opportunities to do business with the state when prospects become available.
Since August 2007, over 2,000 vendors have registered through the system with approximately 1,475 registered as small business owners. Registration entitles a vendor to receive all bid notices for the commodity classes specified by the vendor in the registration process for one year. The registration fee is $25.00 for each commodity class for which the vendor desires registration, and can be renewed annually through the online service. Examples of the commodity classes would be the computers, vehicles, and office equipment needed for the states’ daily operation.
The DCS Online Vendor Registration System accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and checking/savings account payments for registration and annual renewals. The payments are processed through a secure payment engine, which abides by rigorous policies and procedures to ensure that vendors can be confident that their payments are safe, private, and secure.
The DCS Online Vendor Registration System is a product of a partnership between the Department of Central Services and OK.gov, Oklahoma’s Official Web site.
