OK.gov Awarded "Best of Show" for Event Celebrating State Employees
OKLAHOMA CITY - November 1, 2006 - OK.gov received "Best of Show" honors at the 29th annual Public Relations Society of America Upper Case Awards ceremony. OK.gov was also awarded an "Upper Case" award in the Special Events category along with the "Best of Show" award in the Public Relations Programs category.
OK.gov won both awards in honor of their sponsorship and event coordination for the 2006 "State Employee Night at the Brick". OK.gov invited state employees and their families to attend an Oklahoma Redhawk's game for free, as appreciation for their hard work for the state. Over 5,000 tickets were distributed for this year's event resulting in over 50 state agencies being represented.

The 2006 Upper Case Awards competition is conducted by the Oklahoma City Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, a society that annually recognizes the best in public relations programs and practices in Oklahoma.
