Annual Event Celebrates State Employees at Bricktown Ballpark

Oklahoma City, Okla., -- May 31, 2006 -- State employees will be appreciated at an annual event this Friday night at Oklahoma City’s Bricktown Ballpark. “State Employee Night at the Brick” will see the Oklahoma Redhawks take on the Albuquerque Isotopes at 7:05 p.m.

"Friday's State Employee Night at the Bricktown Ballpark allows us to extend appreciation to state employees and their families for their dedicated service to the state," said Governor Brad Henry. "I hope everyone enjoys a fun-filled evening of baseball."

The annual event is sponsored by OK.gov, Oklahoma’s official Web site, found online at www.OK.gov. State employees and their families have been invited to attend the game for free by OK.gov.

“This will be the third year for the ‘State Employee Night at the Brick’. We are excited that over 5,000 state employees and their families have planned to attend this year’s event,” said Lisa Counts, OK.gov general manager.
