Oklahoma Department of Labor Launches Website Redesign

OKLAHOMA CITY – December 16, 2014 – The Oklahoma Department of Labor (ODOL) recently launched a redesigned website packed with new features, which provide the public with a more functional and user-friendly experience. The new website, http://www.ok.gov/odol, touts new additions, such as social media connectivity, quick links to legal research resources, and the ability to sign-up for updates from the Department of Labor.

“It’s important that we provide an informative and functional website to keep Oklahomans up to date on labor related issues,” said Labor Commissioner, Mark Costello. “Not only is our redesigned website more visually appealing, but it also offers a more user-friendly experience for Oklahomans searching for information regarding labor policies in Oklahoma. I am pleased our new site can serve as a complete resource for the public and I encourage Oklahomans to visit our site to learn more.”

Oklahoma AG Scott Pruitt Receives Gold Rating for Website Redesign

OKLAHOMA CITY – December 18, 2014 - Attorney General Scott Pruitt’s Office website, found at OAG.OK.gov, has been honored with a Gold Rating in the Government Website Category in MarCom’s international awards. A Gold Rating is presented to those entries judged to exceed the high standards of the industry norm. 

“We appreciate the recognition from MarCom of our efforts in the AG's Office to provide a functional, informative and user-friendly website for use by the people of Oklahoma. I’m proud of all of the hard work and dedication put into this project by OK.gov and our in-house creative team,” Attorney General Scott Pruitt said.

The new website features prominent links to the Attorney General’s accounts on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. There are links for the public to e-mail the Attorney General or submit scheduling requests. Additionally, the forms used to file consumer complaints, or other complaints of waste and fraud of taxpayer dollars, are organized in a central location. The public also can sign up for news updates.

Oklahoma School Security Institute Tip Line Receives National Award

OKLAHOMA CITY – December 22, 2014 - MarCom Awards recently announced winners for the 2014 international awards competition, recognizing outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals. The Oklahoma School Security Institute (OSSI) Tip Line, found at Tipline.OK.gov, received a Gold Award in the Government Responsive Web Application category. The Gold Award is presented to those entries judged to exceed the high standards of the industry norm. 

“Due to several tragic events across the country, school security has become a high priority, and everyone should be looking for ways to improve the safety and security of the places our children go to learn. This tip line is being provided as a means of reporting such information,” said Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security Director, Kim Carter. “I want to congratulate the OSSI team for all their hard work in providing this great service.”
