OKStrong.OK.gov Website Receives National Award for Disaster Relief Efforts
OKLAHOMA CITY– November 7, 2013 - MarCom Awards recently announced winners for the 2013 international awards competition that recognizes outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals. The OKStrong.OK.gov May Tornado Relief website received a Gold Award in the Government Disaster Relief Website category. The Gold Award is presented to those entries judged to exceed the high standards of the industry norm.
Oklahoma "United We Ride" Website Encourages Public Transportation Use
OKLAHOMA CITY– November 20, 2013 – The Governor’s Oklahoma United We Ride Council recently launched a new public transit information website at http://www.unitedweride.ok.gov. The site allows citizens to search for public transit systems by county, and serves as a useful resource for Oklahomans.

If you ever look up best practices, design techniques, or trends in application design, you’ll notice something significant: there seems to be a much greater focus on what is most important, that being the user experience, usability, and functionality. We see this stressed every now and then for that in web design too, but how often is it done?
