Arts Learning in Communities
The
Oklahoma Arts Council facilitates the opportunity for lifelong quality
arts learning for every Oklahoman that is most appropriate to their
current life circumstance and need. The Council provides technical
assistance that help non-profit organizations:
- increase arts learning effectiveness, program development and resources
- increase planning and managerial capacities
- increase access to the agency’s programs and services
- connect arts learning goals to the participants needs
The Council cultivates partnerships with other public and private agencies to leverage resources, influence practice and create a network for the benefit of all Oklahomans.
Model Program
Creek Council House Museum
The Creek Council House Museum utilized a grant from the Oklahoma Arts Council to offer a series of hands-on classes that taught participants how to create Traditional Creek pottery.
The classes were offered free of charge, allowing excellent access to the program. The class was comprised of people from diverse backgrounds and a broad range of age groups.

If you are an Oklahoma non-profit organization such as a social service agency, healthcare facility or a community service organization, applications are now available for Small Grant Support offered by the Oklahoma Arts Council.
