Q. How can I find out more about the Oklahoma City Festival
of the Arts?
A. The Festival of
the Arts is sponsored by the Arts Council of Oklahoma City and
is not directly associated with the Oklahoma Arts Council, a state
agency.
Q. How do I get a login?
A. Qualifying organizations can find out how to get a login and password to access
the E-GRANT system under the Grants section of
this website.
Q. How can I add an arts event to the Arts Calendar?
A. If you already have a login and password, you can add events right
now by going to the Arts Calendar.
If you don’t have a login yet, contact
us.
Q. How can I find out how much my piece of art is worth?
A. For insurance purposes, you should get in touch with a certified appraiser. There are many organizations that can lead you to an IRS approved appraiser including The International Society of Appraisers. You can also check out AskART,
an online database containing over 42,000 American artists from the
early 16th-Century through the present.
Q. How can I learn more about the painting I found while clearing
out the attic?
A. You can learn how to research
your art at the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
Q. Where can I get information about art galleries in Oklahoma?
A. We have a listing of galleries on
this site. Let us know if you
hear about one in your area.
Q. What are the hours for the galleries inside the Capitol?
A. Curated by the Oklahoma Arts Council, the North and East Galleries
are located on the 1st floor of the State Capitol and are open 7
days a week from 8:30-5:00. The Governor’s Gallery on the 2nd
floor is open Monday through Friday from 8:30-5:00.

Q. What is a Presenting Organization?
A. A Presenting Organization is any entity who sponsors the presentation of a performance or exhibition by a qualified artist. You can find a list of Oklahoma Presenters in the Artists section.
